Wohl hat er "das erkenntnistheoretische Problem in einem gedankenreichen Vortrage auf dem Münchener Gelehrtenkongress (1900) behandelt allein hier spricht er nur von der Erkenntnis der Aussenwelt als Tatsache. Allerdings setzt jeder Versuch einer Metaphysik be stimmte erkenntnistheoretische Anschauungen voraus; daraus ergibt sich unsere Aufgabe, beides herauszustellen, nämlich was Theorie, und was nur mehr oder minder klare Voraussetzung ist.
