Excerpt from Work and Program: March, 1911 The health and moral welfare Of the poorer classes of the com munity should be matters of the deepest concern to all thoughtful citizens, and therefore, from an economic as well as a humani tarian point Of View, the Boston Dispensary Should be adequately endowed and supported beyond any possibility Of having to te strict its usefulness for lack Of resources. With this brief introduction we present the following report to the public, confident that it will meet with generous response. In 010 we wish to express our sincerest regrets that Mr. Robert A. Boit, who has acted as President for the past eight years, has been obliged to resign from the Board of Managers. His unceasing devotion to the interests Of the Dispensary will make it very difficult to fill his place. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
