This title is one of the "Expert Bridge" series, which aims to bring the original beginner up to a standard of competence in general bridge play and bidding. The duplicate bridge section introduces the player to the distinction between rubber and duplicate, methods of scoring, management and etiquette in clubs and how to enter tournaments. Advice on how to play against bidding systems is proffered, as well as the variety of defensive signalling systems available to the club player.
