An hilarious and often poignant account of how it was to keep a pub in the seventies and eighties, when everyone smoked and drank, and all the pubs were packed and there was always a landlady or landlord dressed smartly behind the bar making sure that everyone had the right drink in the right glass and behaved themselves. A time when the local pub was the focal point of the village or town, very sadly lost now.
