The Medicines Compendium contains Summaries of Product Characteristics (SPCs) for licensed medicines from over 100 companies and is updated annually. The 2007 edition of the Medicines Compendium has been launched by Datapharm Communications Ltd. It contains nearly 3000 pages with information on 2280 medicines licensed for use in the UK. The information is provided by over 100 pharmaceutical companies and contains SPCs for UK Prescription Only Medicines, Pharmacy and Over-The-Counter licensed medicines. A free copy will automatically be sent to Medicines Information centres at every NHS Trust. UK based NHS GP surgeries, NHS Nurse Prescribers, NHS hospital pharmacies and community pharmacies can request a free copy by following the Medicines Compendium link on Datapharm's home page.
