This is my true story, the tale of a little girl who listened to classical music, fed the swans on Alster Lake, and enjoyed tradition's like "Lantern Walking" during a happy childhood in culturally rich Hamburg, Germany. A girl who had to grow up far too quickly as her world unraveled with the Nazis gaining power. Most of all this is a love story a tribute to the human spirit, a tale of Hope -- the most beautiful four letter word in the English language
