"Sloppy Sam got up from the table and wandered out of the kitchen, the memory of grandpa's little old Christmas tree fresh in his mind. He imagined how it would look in their living room, dwarfed by mountains of presents towering all around it. All of a sudden, his day dream broke, as the tiny tic-tack of mongoose claws were heard tapping on the old glass window panes. He looked up to see Manny Mongoose standing on his hind legs in front of the window wrapped in a fluffy bright green scarf with golden Christmas trees stamped all over it. Sloppy Sam ran over to the window and jiggled the old, creaky wood frame until it opened.
