Author Description

For Tara, becoming a witch isn't everything - it's the only thing. She has dreamed of her fifteenth birthday for as long as she can remember, the day she'll finally become a witch and join her family's coven. So what if her bloodline is cursed? So what if she has to undergo a terrifying transformation first? Tara has trained for this her whole life, and she's ready to do whatever it takes to become a witch. There's just one problem - Tara isn't a witch, and she never will be. A few blocks away, Tara's former bestie Emily is also celebrating her fifteenth birthday. Born on the same day in the same hospital, the once inseparable friends barely talk anymore. While Tara devours books on the occult, Emily focuses on more productive subjects - fashion, school dances, and boys. Her birthday is going perfectly... until she transforms into a violent demon beast. Surprise! With their identities shattered, Tara and Emily must rely on each other to navigate their new realities while trying desperately to save the family coven. But their bond is tested by the dangerous secrets each girl hides - secrets that will reveal if blood really is thicker than water...
