Collins Soundbites is a series of readers for 11-14 year olds with poor literacy skills. These photocopiable resources support all 18 readers in phase B of the series and contain cloze activities, spelling strategies, writing frames and extension work. This work supports the progress units covered by pupils in Year 7. Soundbites is a graded series of readers aimed at reluctant readers in Key Stage 3, with these accompanying teaching resources. The teaching resources support all 18 books in phase B of the Soundbites series (six books in each of the three progressive stages). The teaching resources are photocopiable and contain activities focused on boosting literacy, such as cloze activities, writing frames and extension work. Activities for before, during and after reading are provided. Work to support students' learning of specialised, difficult or technical vocabulary is included. Suitable for use with catch-up programmes or literacy intervention with underachievers.
