A young woman navigates the chaotic and high-stakes environment of a luxury ski resort while balancing professional duties with personal entanglements. The protagonist arrives at the chalet seeking a fresh start, only to find herself caught between demanding guests, eccentric coworkers, and the unpredictable nature of alpine life. The narrative, presented in a lighthearted and observational tone, tracks her attempts to maintain composure as her carefully constructed plans unravel. She must reconcile her own expectations of the season with the reality of the service industry, where every day brings a new set of social and logistical hurdles.

This work is characterized by its breezy, lighthearted approach to the tropes of the service-industry romance. The narrative structure suggests a focus on situational humor and the specific social dynamics found within seasonal resort communities. Readers likely encounter a protagonist whose growth is measured by her ability to navigate the absurdity of her environment. The novella format ensures a brisk pace, prioritizing character interactions and the immediate pressures of the chalet setting over complex world-building.
