It’s main focus was on Photonics, Optics and Laser Technology, including different research topics in the fields of Optics, Photonics and Lasers, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, new methods or technologies, advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques. This event was sponsored by INSTICC (Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication). PHOTOPTICS was technically co-sponsored by IEEE and IEEE Photonics Society and held in cooperation with Photonics21, SEDOPTICA, EOS, SIOF, JSAP and AFOP. PHOTOPTICS 2017 received 92 papers in total, with contributions from 30 different countries in all continents. To evaluate each submission, a double blind paper evaluation method was used: each paper was reviewed by at least two experts from the International Program Committee in a double-blind review process, and most papers had received 3 reviews or more.
