This book is divided into two parts: the upper and the lower. The first part summarizes key points from the study of basic traditional Chinese medicine (edited by Xiang Yiya, Higher Medical Institutions, Traditional Chinese Medicine Series). Compiled in the original chapter order, it features concise, well-structured, and focused content, making it ideal for learning and mastery. This material has been used by multiple TCM professionals in our institution for promotion exams, achieving positive results and receiving high praise, hence its inclusion in this book. The following section primarily introduces how I, in my medical practice, utilized my knowledge of both Chinese and Western medicine to assist clinicians in treating hospitalized patients, as well as working in pharmacies to address common and frequently occurring illnesses among the general public. I focused on the rational application of traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations. For each encountered condition, I systematically organized the treatments in tabular form by referencing traditional Chinese medicine, the clinical experiences of renowned physicians, and other Chinese and Western medical texts, aiming to standardize treatment and facilitate its application. Next, I studied human tissue diseases, physiological and pathological knowledge, as well as the physiological structural characteristics of internal organs and tissues, common disease patterns, and some preventive health care knowledge. Finally, to ensure the quality of medical care and the safe and effective use of medications in our hospital, we have included in this book the identification and origin learning of easily confused or counterfeit herbal medicines, as well as the development of prescriptions and formulations for clinical patients based on our expertise in traditional Chinese medicine. Additionally, the prescriptions that have successfully treated individual cases are also documented here.
