Something otherworldly nests beneath the small town of Quinton, Texas. A local farmer stumbles upon it in 1943, and his resulting obsession leads to bizarre behavior and his death. In 1994, five people go missing on the same day a commercial flight crashes in Quinton. They return with unsettling abilities, cursed by the extraterrestrial they now call "Mother." Five years later, as Y2K approaches, Mother calls her children back home and demands a horrific sacrifice. Disobeying her may have worldwide repercussions.
