Excerpt from Die Vögel der Provinz Ostpreussen Jacob Theodor Klein wurde am 16. August 1686 in Konigsberg geboren, wo er auch studierte. Er bereiste dann Deutschland, England, Holland und Tirol und wurde 1713 als Stadtsekretär in Danzig angestellt. Er starb daselbst am 27. Februar 1759.
