Frank and Brittany are back again. It's now been two-and-a-half years since the craziness of their lives in book 1. They are happily married and living in their Art Deco apartment in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago with their son, Shaun. Life has been good for them and they bask in their love for one another. Brittany, however has become paralyzed in her prayer life by uncertainty. Might her prayers be short-circuiting reality and the Creator's plans for character development? Then one morning just after Christmas, Frank discovers Francine in the mirror again, but now with a son in the other bedroom she looks through wallets and discovers that she is married to Brett King! Imagine her surprise when she finds out that Brittany/Brett is not responsible for this change. Someone else has discovered how to change the past, and they are somehow caught up in this cosmic switcheroo with their memories intact.
