It’s the summer of 1974 and three young adults are temporarily living in Toronto. Immersed in the counterculture zeitgeist, they are discovering themselves, auditioning personas for the adults they will become. A life-altering decision is faced. A film about U.S. military deserters is being made. A fugitive is on the run. In 2022 we catch up with them, now dispersed, Toronto a long ago memory. Regardless, choices made then echo as mysteries are revealed, far-reaching misunderstandings realized. Bewildered is a story about whom we once were and the man or woman life eventually makes of us. There’s also an orphan, a transatlantic voyage, and a dancing backup singer.
