This book is for new and seasoned vegans alike who like to travel or just those who are curious about plant-based eating. Those who are budget conscious and who simply want to be able to find healthy vegan options in the places they want to visit or in their local restaurants. This book is meant to be an easy to use and informative book on how to continue your vegan journey even when you are traveling and eating out. As a new vegan, it can be difficult to know where to dine, what to order, what questions to ask or even if there are vegan options in the places you will visit. Even if you have been on this vegan journey for a while, eating out can still be a bit tricky. This book will explain how to handle conversations with non-vegans who may see your "special requests" as being difficult. It will provide pre-planning tips for making reservations, tips on "decoding" certain foods listed on the menus, explore options in international cuisines, and provide you with visuals of vegan dishes that will inspire you and maybe some of your non-vegan friends. Making a change in your eating habits is a choice only you can make and it should not be hard. Unfortunately, sometimes it is. Luckily I found communities where there were other vegans who showed me things that I never knew about vegan cooking, taught me things about nutrition that surprised me and helped me to realize that although other places may not call it vegan, there are places that embrace plant-based cooking and eating naturally. You will find that this book gives you a glimpse of where those places are, and what foods you can try that are completely plant based and what to watch out for when placing your order. I've included tools you can use to find the perfect place to dine out and tools to identify non-vegan ingredients so that you are not caught off guard.
