Excerpt from The British Gynæcological Journal, 1901, Vol. 17: Being the Journal of the British Gynæcological Society Dr. Macnaughton-jones said that since the last meeting their Sovereign had passed away. The Society should not permit the event to go by without recording its sympathy with the King. He therefore moved that the secretary be authorised to convey to His Majesty, through the proper quarter, on behalf Of the Society, a vote of con dolence upon his loss, and Of congratulation upon his accession to the throne.
