These are challenging days for men - every man is struggling with something. And these challenges can bring a man to the place where he is desperate. The author identifies 8 major challenges men are experiencing and tells stories of men who became desperate -- there very desperation was a bridge to experience the blessing of God in powerful ways. These stories point the way for the reader to read Scripture relevant to men and then process and apply what God is saying to them with a few application questions. Dallas Willard asks "What is God's address? Matthew 5:3 in the Message answers "You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule."
