This work is the largest study of relationship between Pulmonary hypertension and myeloproliferative neoplasms and the first to study the correlation between JAK-2 allele burden and pulmonary hypertension. Through this work we made a quick review of myeloproliferative neoplasms and pulmonary hypertension and Jak-2 allele mutation and then demonstrate the results of our study. No correlation between JAK-2 allele burden and Pulmonary hypertension which was prevalent in 12% of studied cases.
This work investigates the complex relationship between pulmonary hypertension and myeloproliferative neoplasms. The study presents the largest analysis to date on this correlation, specifically examining the link between JAK-2 allele burden and pulmonary hypertension. It includes a concise review of myeloproliferative neoplasms, pulmonary hypertension, and the JAK-2 allele mutation before detailing the study's findings, which indicate no correlation between JAK-2 allele burden and pulmonary hypertension, though pulmonary hypertension was found in 12% of the cases studied.
This study represents a significant contribution to the understanding of pulmonary hypertension in the context of myeloproliferative neoplasms, particularly through its novel investigation into the JAK-2 allele burden. The research provides valuable data on the prevalence of the condition within this patient group. The findings suggest that while pulmonary hypertension is present in a notable percentage of cases, it does not appear to correlate with the JAK-2 allele burden, offering a specific insight for further clinical consideration.
