Humanity is no longer alone. It is the middle of the 21st Century, and a new world exists in parallel and mimicry of our own. It is a world of our own fashioning, but not one that operates under our control. Agent Marlowe is one of the many virtual servants who populates this cybernetic universe. His User owns a detective agency, but since a human's career, finances, secrets, etc. reside with their Agent, it is Marlowe who investigates crimes in the mirror of human society. Tasked by his User to find a missing Agent, Marlowe embarks on a perilous journey into the depths of our virtual souls, in which he confronts his own mortality and questions his purpose.
