Christmas Eve arrives, but instead of Santa Claus, an unnatural, bitter cold descends. The protagonist must contend with this sudden, inexplicable drop in temperature that threatens to engulf everything in ice, while the absence of the traditional gift-giver leaves a void filled only by the encroaching frost.

The premise suggests a story that subverts traditional Christmas tropes, replacing festive cheer with a chilling, potentially supernatural event. The focus on the 'bitter cold' implies a narrative that may lean into themes of isolation, survival, or a darker interpretation of the holiday season. The brevity of the description points towards a short story or novella format, likely delivering a concentrated atmospheric experience.
