This CD-ROM provides a foundation of knowledge that will prepare nurses to care competently for low risk pregnant women/newborns/families through the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Three realistic case simulations (Antepartum Care; Intrapartum Care; and Postpartum Care and The Newborn) cover both physiological and psychosocial aspects of pregnancy, as well as such topics as pain management, fetal monitoring, breastfeeding issues, and neonatal adaptation to extrauterine life.
