CONVENTION AT TAMPA. Considerable criticism has been expressed on account of Tampa having been selected as the place of holding the present convention, and that, too. I am sure by men who as delegates voted for Tampa: also by others who were compelled to leave before adjournment. I mention this at this time in order that if a mistake was made (which I will not admit) it may not be repeated again at this convenion, and that more care may be given to the selection of our next meeting place. JURISDICTION DISPUTE Many jurisdiction controversies have been taken up and adjusted since our last convention, among them being the Plaster and Cement Workers. The Brotherhood of Carpenters have reached an understanding with the Iron Workers, Asbestos Workers, Marble Workers and Laborers and the principal disputes we will have is the I. A. Steam Fitters Association and the U. A. Plumbers, the Cement Workers and Laborers and Sheet Metal Workers and Carpenters, Lathers and Bridgemen, and no matter how long it may take, I trust this convention will not adjourn until a positive, clear drawn decision is rendered.
