This pamphlet is the summary of the capabilities of the Black Powder revolvers in the two variations; TOP STRAP (Remington), and the OPEN TOP (Colt) designs. Many articles and chronicles of the War of Aggression have stated that the various Calveries (of both North & South) employed the 36 revolver as a main stay of armament. Just as well many old documents state that the "SHOOTISTS" employed them. The Texas Rangers employed them in the 1830's. Yet from my experience and evaluations the 36 is an anemic weapon.
