The EZ Speed-Write speed-writing system is an improved speed-writing method for note-taking purposes. It comprises three distinct elements: A core collection of strategically devised abbreviations; a qualified omission or substitution of letters in any given word; and a fundamental set of prefixes and suffixes. It is the unique combination and application of these elements that distinguishes EZ Speed-Write from other approaches to speed-writing. It is well suited for note-taking situations in which verbatim (i.e., word for word) transcription is not necessary.EZ Speed-Write Lite contains only the first element of the EZ Speed-Write system: The EZ Speed-Write abbreviations. It is being made available separately for those readers who prefer to increase their note-taking speed without devoting as much time to learning the complete system, but who still wish to easily obtain some of its important benefits.
