The small east African nation of Eritrea contains a remarkable amount of geographical and cultural diversity, but has long been cut off from the world by war, poverty and political isolation.These photographs were taken during the authors' visit to Eritrea in the spring of 2019, and provide a rare glimpse into this curious and largely unknown country.
