Men like Rafael had two options: run or face a firing squad. He made it all the way to the Sierra Nevada mountains and started a new life as a trapper. But no matter how far he went, he couldn’t hide from his past. Someone would always know. Only this time, that someone was hunting down deserters and hanging them. Rafael planned to do what he had always done, run from the danger. But upon finding his friend swinging high in a tree, wife abducted, and their children murdered, it changed him.
