This new edition builds on the success of its predecessors. It has been exhaustively revised, reorganized, and improved, and about a third of the illustrations are new. Up-to-date classifications of the leukaemias, histiocyte and storage disorders have been included, and there is a completely new chapter on normal ranges for cell-related variables in the blood of children. New techniques are illustrated, including fluorescence in-situ hybridization and the demonstration of abnormal gene products by immunohistochemistry.
