Jim Benbow's brother, Larry, had stolen his girl and his inheritance, so when Jim found himself teamed up with two gunslingers all set to rob the bank in Bright Water, he didn't feel he owed anybody anything. But then old memories came back to bother him. As his bitterness subsided, he began to wonder just how far he could trust one man as trigger happy as Tom Kane and another as desperate to feed his starving family as Bronc Tucker. Changing his mind about this mess he'd gotten himself into would sure set more guns blazing than he could probably handle, but it was better than giving up all that he'd really loved -- and still did.
