Diabetes itself is very complicated and pervasive. It has been affected many other conditions not just by its complications. I found while we are living in the time of information, we are information overload, but lots of my patients are lack of correct and current information about diabetes and management. Patient education is extremely important for diabetes management. It is the patient who is actually managing his or her diabetes not doctors. It is the patient who has to decide if or should adjust the medication how much to take. It is the patient when or how much exercise he or she want or need to do. Lots of patients are on insulin which is one of the most dangerous and difficult medication in managing diabetes. I found there were a big knowledge gap which make it one of the most dangerous medication. In this book, the basic knowledge of diabetes and insulin management is provided in an easily understandable way. This book is written for patients who might need some guidelines. I provided information here as if I were presented the question. You need to confirm the information in this book with your own healthcare provider in conjunction of your specific situation.
