A collection of songs arranged for the beginning student in both accompaniment and solo styles. This book answers the question, "How do I get the 'fingerpickin' sound' heard so much in today's music?" Part I of the book is an introduction to the art of accompaniment, through the use of "pickin' patterns." Lyrics are provided and the student is encouraged to sing along. The patterns, once mastered, may be applied to any song to create a sound of your own. Part II presents an easy way to learn to play melody and chords simultaneously. All songs are written in tablature as well as standard notation to aid the beginning student.
