We have arranged these melodies, harmonies, rhythms, stories, lyrics, and ideas as much as possible to be structurally complete and emotionally expressive; but ABOVE ALL we constantly strive to make them different. Very few dispute the fact that the Bible is certainly the most absorbing and interesting book on earth. And evidently the composers of bygone years felt the same, as they used that source almost solely as the basis of their compositions. In most instances throughout this book we have taken the original material and updated the sounds to fit comfortably into our "contemporary" ears. We surely hope you enjoy them as well.
