For over 10,000 years the galaxy has been ruled by a tyrannical alien race called the Masters. Believing themselves biologically superior to all life in the cosmos, the Masters bend all others to their will, forcing beings from less advanced worlds to fight for their amusement. Kit, a kid from Earth, has been selected to represent his species in gladiatorial combat. If he wins, humans will be granted citizenship in the Masters' empire. If he loses, everyone he's ever known will be enslaved and his planet strip mined. Now Kit has a decision to make: is Earth worth saving?
