The Georadroute Ruhr-Eder combines the Sauerland in North Rhine-Westphalia with the Waldecker Land in Hesse at 210 km. Radlers experience the two regions in a special way: on the one hand on the well-known river bike paths "Ruhrtalradweg" and "Eder-Radweg", on the other hand you drive many kilometers over former railway lines. In addition to attractive places and villages, you also experience the varied landscape of the two low mountain regions. You discover the Edersee and the UNESCO World Heritage Site National Park Kellerwald-Edersee, and the route takes a journey through the Geopark border zone and gives exciting insights into the history of the earth and the development of the landscape of the regions.
