When seventeen-year-old Lara Walker was selected to stay awake for the millennium long cryosleep mission, her whole life was put on pause. Along with nineteen other teenagers from the now dystopian United States, she was required to leave everything she knew in her hometown of San Francisco in exchange for a five year stay in New York City. There, she would learn the system, fulfill her duty, and save humanity from its own destruction. With a possible love interest, a friend who liked to break the rules, and a deadly mystery lurking around the corners, these five years would feel a lot longer than she anticipated.
