This series takes the direct, lineal ancestry of Martin Wayne Beerman from the present to the time of Charles Martel, the grandfather of Charlemagne. Volume 1 takes the lineage to William the Conqueror. In Vol. 2 the journey in the past continues to Charlemagne, Charles Martel, Alfred the Great, Kenneth MacAlpin, Brian Boru, and El Cid.
