It felt like the end of days, rapture was falling upon us and we were nothing but cattle to the gods above. Everyone's eyes were fixed on the tear. Maybe we got lucky and it opened over an empty field or something. A fireball exploded from it as a jumbo jet cockpit pierced through the barrier between worlds, one of the wings snapped off as it collided with the edges of the rift. It spun through the air. It was too low and too badly damaged to keep level flight. The shock of bursting through into another world was enough trauma. It crashed into the side of the Kilaro Mountain, famous for taking lives but not like this. In trying to save one life, I have condemned so many more. What have I done? The Frost has descended on the world, winter's whiteness becoming untameable. In the midst of eternal blizzards and unsympathetic cold, Atlas Cloud is behind the border between realms, stuck in Legion territory and on the run. He must find a way to Ester Reach to save the one person closest to him. On his journey the burden he carries just might be too heavy, his path twisting into madness, the Apostles losing all control.
