This publication provides a formal musical score for George Frideric Handel's Concerto for Viola, intended for performance and study by professional and advanced musicians. The work serves as a critical edition of the concerto, featuring the necessary notation for both the soloist and the orchestral accompaniment. By presenting the score alongside a separate viola part, the publication facilitates the practical application of Handel's Baroque compositions within a contemporary performance context.

This edition is recognized as a standard resource for violists seeking to perform Handel's concerto. Musicians and educators frequently cite the clarity of the Oxford University Press printing as a primary benefit for rehearsal and concert settings.
