In 2025 the bodies of George Washington and his faithful servant, Frank Khamisi, (both preserved by the ancestors of modern-day cryogenics physician Dr. Palidore Montgomery) were successfully revived at the Montgomery Cryogenic Services (MCS) building in Washington, D.C. Then the re-education of both men into modern times began, supervised by Lynn Radford and Susan Trott at MCS. After successfully recovering a stash of gold coins from Mount Vernon, the men became financially independent and began thinking about leaving the safety of the MCS building. Now Book Three begins with George enlisting the help of his new love, Martha Vaughan, and friend, Susan Trott, to help the men plan their exit from the only place George and Frank have known since their revival. Some 226 years have passed since George and Frank were last living on their own, but they successfully make their way to West Virginia to start their lives over again. Their efforts to establish a timber enterprise bring them into conflict with a Chinese company attempting to control the entire timber business in the state. A murder, a kidnapping, a wedding, and a funeral provide ample opportunity for the rise of George Washington back into political power.
