
Virginia Eleanor Steward inherited a huge family estate that only brought her too many heartbreaks when having relationships with other very wealthy men. In order to deal with her loneliness, she decides to put her nursing diploma to good use and become a volunteer at a hospital for the uninsured, St. George's Hospital in Chicago. Although St. George's Hospital was established by her late father, but no one knew her there. So, Virginia decided to disguise her true identity and become the flashy dressing and fun loving Nurse Piffy. It was her plan to meet a middle class professional that would love her for herself and not for her tremendous wealth. Employment at the hospital had its challenges, most especially the hospital administrator that pressed her every minute of every day. But, Piffy pledged to never date any wealthy men again and she was going to keep that pledge. So, if she ever wanted to go out with a man again, a middle class man to boot, Piffy would have to put up with all the negative experiences at St. George's. All had been going well for Piffy up until a return vacation trip from a resort in Northern Wisconsin. The need for a rental car, the only one available, resulted in crossing paths with a man with all the characteristics she had pledged to avoid. Alexander was wealthy, handsome and reflected a character of extreme confidence in himself and charming personality. Piffy reflected everything Alexander found deplorable in a woman from her flashy misfitting pieces of clothing to her ridiculously colored shoes. But, the only rental available at the resort was a Mustang that brought problems for both Piffy and Alexander.
