Kenneth and Nancy Meadors have a very common history before their marriage. Kenneth's father and Nancy's mother were both born in Northeast Arkansas, just a few miles apart beside the Mississippi River. They both have a common religious background, before they even knew each other. Kenneth was born in Northeast Arkansas, and Nancy was born in Southeast Missouri. They met as 13-year olds when Kenneth's family moved to Gideon, Missouri where Nancy's family lived. Nancy had many members of her family who were ministers of the gospel, but Kenneth had no known religious members of his family other than his mother, but it was evident from the beginning that both Kenneth and Nancy had the hand of God upon their lives to be called into a lifetime of ministry. Kenneth and Nancy have been married 63 years, and they have experienced the ups and downs of life together. Each has individually seen tragedy in their families. Nancy's father died from a self-inflicted gun wound. Kenneth's father, mother, sister, and niece all died in a fiery crash in Southeast Missouri. Together, they have seen tragedies in children. Two sons battled lifelong addiction problems with one dying in prison from a hanging. Their middle son died in a head-on collision eleven years after his wife died in a similar accident. Through all their trials of life, they have remained faithful to the God they had committed their lives to from early childhood. Together, they have ministered to thousands of people through pastoring, teaching, and counseling. Hopefully, the story of their lives and their family history will minister hope to those who may be experiencing any difficulty in life.
