This book is written primarily for students of civil and agricultural engineering, and for practicing engineers. It covers the undergraduate course of studies for ‘Water Resources Engineering’ for students of civil engineering, and ‘Irrigated Agriculture Infrastructure’ for students of agricultural engineering. This book will also be useful for students preparing for Masters in ‘Irrigation and Drainage Engineering’. The book has been divided into six sections and covers: Irrigation Engineering, Surface Irrigation System, Ground Water Irrigation System, Other Irrigation Systems, Farm Irrigation Systems and Drainage Engineering. The book is well illustrated, gives examples and solved problems in each chapter and describes the theoretical and practical aspects of irrigation and drainage engineering in detail.
