A historical thriller, set in eighteenth century Lucknow. Amid the political machinations of the Nawab, his nobles and the British, the maneuvers of the queens and their flunkeys, the high noon of Awadh's culture sees the building of the great mosque, the Bara Imambara, and the evolution by chance of 'Dum Pukht', the cuisine of the Nawabs.
