The Arctic is undergoing rapid and severe climate change, with profound implications for the region and the globe. The volume addresses the accelerating climate change expected over the next century, detailing its impact on physical, ecological, social, and economic systems. It explores research results on observing the Arctic climate system, the representation of cryospheric, atmospheric, and oceanic processes in models, and the Arctic's role in the global climate system.

This volume appears to be a collection of research findings and model simulations focused on Arctic climate change. The content suggests a technical and data-driven approach, likely aimed at scientists and researchers in climatology, environmental science, and related fields. The emphasis on observed data, model representation, and global system interactions indicates a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge and research directions in Arctic climate science.
