Julia, a middle-aged woman who has resigned herself to a life without love, embarks on a quest to find her vanished brother and reclaim a lost identity. Her search leads her to Kitty, a woman whose life and aspirations starkly contrast with her own. The key to Julia's identity is buried beneath Kitty's home, and the literal excavation of the past irrevocably alters both their lives, though the discoveries they make diverge from their initial expectations.

The premise suggests a character-driven narrative that explores themes of self-discovery and the impact of the past on the present. The juxtaposition of two women from different walks of life implies a focus on interpersonal dynamics and the potential for unexpected connections. The mystery element, tied to uncovering buried truths, hints at a plot that balances introspection with external action. The description indicates that the resolution will likely be nuanced, focusing on the personal transformations of the characters rather than simple answers.
