Students develop a likelihood line to locate the probability of various events; use words such as "uncertain" and "impossible" as reference points, and later, 0, 1, and simple fractions. They look at probability as how often a repeatable event will happen, rather than as a predictor of when it will happen. Students determine whether games such as rock-paper-scissors are "fair" games, and modify them to be fair if they are not. Suggested 12 sessions.
