The Australian Industry Report is a new initiative of the Department of Industry's Office of the Chief Economist. The report provides an overview and analysis of the major economic factors affecting Australia's industries. "In this, the inaugural Australian Industry Report, we draw together the many threads of our ever-changing economy. It is an invitation to step back and observe how all the pieces are connected so we can better understand the economy's complexities and subtleties. Australia will continue to be exposed to economic and demographic forces and we must therefore continue to adapt. It's the one certainty we have in a world of change."
