Vhalla Yarl is a scullery maid with a secret: she can control air. Her hidden ability is a dangerous one in a world where magic is forbidden, and discovery means certain death. When a royal librarian discovers her secret, Vhalla is thrust into a world of political intrigue and forbidden magic, where she must learn to control her powers to survive and protect those she cares about.

The premise sets up a classic fantasy narrative with a forbidden magic trope and a strong female protagonist. The inclusion of political intrigue and a potential romance suggests a focus on character development and world-building. Readers can expect a story that balances action with interpersonal relationships, exploring themes of power, destiny, and societal constraints. The narrative framework likely follows Vhalla's perspective as she navigates this new and dangerous world, uncovering secrets about herself and the kingdom.
