Author Description

In the summer of 1925 a group of friends and family embark on a cruise to the northern capitals of Europe on board the S.S. City of Nagpur. One member of the group takes photographs and, on their return to England, creates a photograph album of the holiday. Over the years the holiday, the album, and - eventually - the people are forgotten and the album ends up at an antiques fair, where it is bought for a few pounds, by Alan Burnett, a life-long lover of old and forgotten photographs. He has carefully restored and reprinted the album along with a short introduction to the ship, the cruise and the people.
